From
the day I picked up this rolling ball of fluff from Zion
Kennels to the day he crossed the Rainbow Bridge Sezar
made me smile and spread joy throughout my body each and
every day. When he was just a puppy we were walking and
suddenly he disappeared. I called and called for him but
he was not to be seen. Just when I was about to panic I
felt a nudge from behind and there he was. He had been
right behind me all the time. From that day on when I
couldn’t find him all I had to do was remember to turn
around and he would always be right there.
All
of Sezar’s qualities were outstanding from his handsome
noble appearance, mild mannered sweet temperament and
superior intelligence to his unconditional love and the
protection he was known to bestow on me upon numerous
occasions. The quality that most stands out was his
uncanny ability to reason. |
We became so
close that I could tell what he was thinking just by looking at
him and he was always right. He pulled and pushed me away from
danger, protected me against a viscous dog attack and on one
occasion saved my life. Sezar always took it all in stride and
all he wanted was praise and love in return.
People always commented on what a beautiful dog he was and were
amazed at his personality. Everyone knew him by name even though
they couldn’t remember mine. Sezar came from a very worthy
bloodline including Daddy Pax, Big Brother Grizz, Sister Libby
and Nephew Charley. He was a great Ambassador for the SSDCA, and
he always had fun when SSONE sponsored a Petco Show booth going
out into the isles, rounding up the people and herding them back
into the booth. He was compassionate toward disabled people and
would get closer so they could pat him and loved to stand nose
to nose with little girls giving them a wet kiss.
Sezar may have had health issues, which I attributed to bad
veterinary care in his early years and his tolerance to pain was
extremely high. He never complained about all the trips to the
hospital he made and all the doctors and attendants told me that
he was a wonderful patient. He always took it all in stride and
bounded back to good health in due time; until the last trip
when the diagnosis was cancer and try as he might; he couldn’t
rebound from that.
Born on Thanksgiving we were united on a very warm February day
and spent the next nine years four months living an eternal
companionship, which gives me the will to go on. They say that
in time your memories fade, but I know that will never be
possible. Sezar will always be right there, whenever I turn
around.
Thank you, Ma Shiloh, for bringing Sezar into my life. It was a
lifetime experience I will always cherish.
Our Love Always!!
